DRAFT <br />DIVISION 1 -GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />SECTION 01700 -CONTRACT CLOSEOUT <br />1.01 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br />The following project closeout procedure defines the responsibilities of the Contractor, Owner and Engineer in <br />closing the project: <br />Step 1: Contractor advises the Engineer in writing that he has reached "Substantial Completion" and provides <br />a list of items to be completed or corzected. <br />Closeout maybe conducted by areas or portions of [he work if requested by the Owner. <br />Step 2: Engineer observes the work to detemune if i[ is substantially complete, and issues a "Punch List" of <br />items to be completed or corrected. <br />Step 3: Contractor completes and/or corzects all punch list items and notifies the Engineer ur writing that his <br />work is ready for final inspection. <br />Step 4: Engineer makes final examination. When the work is found to be acceptable, the Engineer will <br />prepare a final construction report and as-built plans. <br />END OF SECTION <br />7/04 Section 01700 -Page 1 of I <br />
