Box 774018 <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 <br />RE: Twentyml7e Coal Company -proposed exploration drill sites <br />Dear Mr. Nettleton: <br />For ~ldlrfe- <br />ForPeople <br />The following comments are provided to you for consideration throughout the permitting process <br />for the six proposed exploration drill saes located in the Fish Creek drainage and the Middle <br />Creek drainage in Township 5 North, Range 86 West, Sections 9, 10, 11, and 25, in Routt <br />County, CO. <br />This overall site can be separated into two distinct habaat types: O riparian areas and m upland <br />areas <br />The two riparian areas that wtll be impacted by this proposed project ate portions of the Fish <br />Creek drainage and portions of the Middle Creek drainage. <br />Riparian areas, more than any other habaat type, typically have significantly higher species <br />diversity and richness associated with them Routt Counties riparian areas are no exception, with <br />a total of 71 % of the wildlife species that utilize the various wildlife habitats in Routt County, <br />during some portion of the year, relying on them <br />O <br />DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Grey Wek:hs.
