Economically and technologically O ,l ` feasible repair techniques to the sur- V" ~ i ficial aquifer are at this time untest- ~ ed (refer to Subsidence Repair Hand- ~ book, Volume 3), (C) The vast majority of the land to be un- dermined is used for rangeland. A few structures also are located in this area. Steven's Gulch Road and various trails access areas in the permit area and also U. S. Forest Service lands to . the north. As decribed in detail in Geo-Hydro's Subsidence Study, Volume 3, little effect to these resources is an- ticipated. Subsidence does not change soils resources. The general topogra- phy of the area will experience general lowering, but no large changes are an- ticipated. Vegetation type and cover will not be affected unless water sup- ply is disrupted. The Terror Creek and West Roatcap Greek stream channels are not undermined, as they are located outside the lease boundary, see Map 4-LA. Protective pillars will be left under the Steven's Gulch and East Roat- cap Creek stream channels. Refer to the control plan in Section 2,05,6(6)- (f), Significant ponds and springs have been designated and protected.
