TODD DYSART
11481 CTY RD 370
STERLING, CO 80751
RECLAMATION PLAN

Reclamation will consist of final shaping, applying 4 inches of previously stockpiled
topsoil and replanting the site with grass species adaptable to this azea.
Topsoil depths aze approximately 4 inches at the proposed site. Thin topsoil plus
additional topsoil or suitable overburden encountered will be stockpiled. since [he
topsoil directly overlies the deposit, there is no anticipated handling of
overburden.
Reclaimed slopes will have a maximum gradient of 3H:1 V to facilitate
revegetation and reduce soil erosion.
Topsoil depths in this azea average 4 inches. Since only 4 inches are available,
only that amount will be removed or stockpiled. In any additional topsoil is
encountered, it will be stockpiled as well.
4. The soil Conservation Service has recommended that seeding be done between
November 1, and Apri130, with a disc drill for best results. The seedbed will be
prepazed for chiseling [he site, and then mulching with either 2 tons per acre of
straw followed by light discing to crimp the straw, or spreading approximately 20
tons of manure per acre. Fertilizer will be applied at a very low rate
recommended for rangeland in this azea prior to chiseling.
The Soil Conservation Services has recommended the following seed mixture for
the area: (See Exhibit D, Page 3)
Variety Species Pounds/Acre
Vaughn, Butte sideoats grama 1.8
Arriba, Barton western wheatgrass 3.2
Pastura, Cimmarron little bluestem 1.4
Grenville, Neb 28 switchgrass .09
Goshen prairie sandreed 1.3
Trees and shrubs will not be planted since they do not naturally grown on this soil
type in this area.
6. Straw is readily available in the area and will be crimped into [he soil by light
discing. The straw mulch will be applied at 2 tones per acre. Manure will also be
considered as mulch and, if used, will be applied at 20 tons per acre as per Soil
Conservation Service.
There will be no ponds, streams or buildings remaining after reclamation.
EXHIBIT D, PAGE 1
