Mr, Chris Rowe
December 12, 2006
Page Six of Eight
4. There are no long-term maintenance requirements associated with
compacted pit liners. Over the past 30 plus years, compacted liners have
proven to be functional, durable, and maintenance free.
6.3.5 EXHIBIT E -MAP
Excavation (Mininel Plan Map
1, Please see attached Excavation Plan Map.
2, Please see attached Excavation Plan Map.
3. Because the Idaho Creek Resources sand and gravel pit has a Substitute Water
Supply Plan approved by the SEO it can be assumed that there is a well permit for
their pit, which is located within 600 feet of the proposed Camenish Borrow Site.
Lining the Camenish Borrow pit will have no impact on the Idaho Creek
Resources well. The Idaho Creek Resources well is the pit, which has been
de-watered for several years and will remain so until all mining and
reclamation work is completed. If anything, the de-watered Idaho Creek Pit
has lowered the ground water level under the proposed Camenish Borrow
Site. Because excavation and reclamation will be concurrent at Camenish the
compacted pit liner will completed before de-watering ends at Idaho Creek.
Once Camenish has been lined it will be effectively cut off from the
surrounding alluvium and any impacts to the hydrology of Idaho Creek
Resources will end; although it is difficult to see how dewatering Camenish in
the first place could in any way adversely impact the hydrology of an actively
de-watered Idaho Creek Resources Pit.
Finally, Gke the Camenish Borrow Pit, the Idaho Creek Resources Pit will be
lined in order to seal it from the surrounding alluvium. In the end, there will
be two bathtubs, neither capable of effecting the water Level in the other.
4. Please see attached Excavation Plan Map,
5. As shown on the revised Excavation Plan drawing (Sheet 1 of 2), the gas well
is the property of Kerr McGee. The pipeline from the well is buried under
the strip of land between the well and the north permit boundary (see
attached Excavation Plan drawing).
Reclamation Plan Map
1. There is no drainage conveyance structures associated with the stock pond.
2. All reclaimed slopes shown on the Reclamation Plan Map aze at a 3:1 slope.
