Introduction
This plan is submitted to the Division of Minerals & Geology, Colorado Department of
Natural Resources, in accordance with the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation
Act, 34-33-101 et seq., C. R. S. 1973 as Amended, Section 34-33-117, and the Rules
promulgated thereunder. Further references will be in the form of §2.02.2(2)(c). Bowie
Resources, LLC may hereinafter be referred to as BRL.
Purpose
Coal data gained from the exploration drilling proposed in the exploration plan area
(XPA) will be used to evaluate if mineable coal reserves exist adjacent to the existing
federal coal leases held by BRL. Evaluation of the quantity and quality of coal seams in
the lower part of the Williams Fork Formation member of the Upper Cretaceous
Mesaverde Group.

The XPA is in Township 12 South, Range 91 and 92 West, 6"' Principle Meridian,
eastern Delta County, Colorado. The area of interest is shown on Map 1, Index Map.
