2. Monitoring Requirements
In order Co obtain an indication of the probable compliance or
noncompliance with the effluent limitations specified in Part I,
the permit[ee shall monitor and report all effluent parameters
at the following required frequencies.

Self-monitoring samples taken in compliance with the monitoring requirements

d) Monitoring is required only during periods of discharge. If "no
discharge" occurs, this shall be reported at the specified frequency.

e) When the measurement frequency indicated is quarterly, the samples
shall be collected during March, June, September, and December if
a continual discharge occurs. If the discharge is intermi[tant, then
samples shall be collected during the period that discharge occurs.

a) Salinity shall be sampled monthly for six months, then on a quarterly
basis. Salinity may be measured either as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
or electrical conductivity where a satisfactory correlation with TDS
has been established (based cn a minimum of five samples). Once
six months of salinity data have been submitted to the Division, a
determination of a waiver based on salt-loading shall be made. If a
waiver is not granted on the basis of salt-loading, [hen [he permittee
shall submit a report in accordance with 3.10.41 of the "Regulations
for Implementation of [he Colorado River Salinity Standards through
the FIPDES program." This report ::ill Se due on December 31, 1981.
