Current Vegetation
On the ridge tops there are sage brush (18"), service berry and rabbit brush both 2' to 6'
tall. There is a sparse understory predominately comprised of wheatgrass. The same
vegetation occupies the steeper slopes with the addition of sparse oak brush up to 6' in
height. The cover is fair 30 to 70% including overstory.
Weed Control Plan
There are no noxious weeds currently on the proposed disturbed area.
Prevention
This site is not heavily infested with noxious weeds. Remaining vigilant to the
introduction of new invaders is key to success. Recognize new invaders and deal with
them immediately.
The stored soil generated by the initial disturbance will be planted with a grass cover
crop as soon as possible after removal to protect it from noxious weeds and wind
erosion.
Observe stored soil for the occurrence of noxious weeds and treat all new noxious weed
populations found on stored soil as soon as possible.
