Henrie <br />In addition to the Division's concerns (see the April 30 Technical Adequacy Review) the following issues <br />should be addressed: <br />The Division received comments from the Division of Wi dlife, stating that they had no problem with [he <br />location of the proposed excavations, but they did recomrr.end [ha[ the shoreline be maximized by using an <br />irregular shaped during final reclamation, and reclaiming the slopes to no steeper than 3H:1 V grade. They <br />also suggested stocking the ponds with fish and constructs ag an underwater topography/structure [o <br />encourage growth of vegetation and invertebrates, and tha: all care should be taken to preserve as many <br />trees on the property as possible. <br />The comments from objectors to the application can be su nmarized as follows: <br />concerns about impacts of mining on groundwater in the area (mostly concerned that [here will be a drop in <br />available water resources); <br />noise; <br />dust; <br />increased uaffic along the road; <br />fear of a decrease in properly values; <br />and concerns and questions about the final reclamation plt n, proposed timeframes, and end land-use. <br />
