After all operations
have ceased the county will regrade the slope at a a slight angle leaving small
berms to control runoff and minimize erosion.
The county will seed the effected site will native grasses and a dryland pasture `~u~ ~
grass mixture due to the absence of any topsoil on the slope the growth of vegatation 56'
will be minimal so the county wiil not fertilize the effected area. The county will
replant any tree or shrub that was destroyed the gravel operations with seedlings
of the same type.
The county will also clean up any trash or old junk in and around the affected site
and also remove and soil that is contaminated with oil of diesel fuel from the area
and replace with an adequete type soil and dispose of the contaminated soils properly.
The county will be eliminating the old bench road from the affected slope after the
county finishes reclamation efforts the site should looka alot cleaner and more
pleasing site to the owners and the general public.
The estimated cost of reclamation efforts should be $2,5000.00 this will include
equiptmen~ grass seed and any seedling the county has to purchase.
San Juan county will conduct any type of reclamation ~oqR the the MLRD recommends
that the county do at the Eureka site.
Louis K.
