<br />- Samples should be identified by label on each bottle. The <br />labels should show the sample identification no. (of your <br />choice), sample site, date, and analysis type for the lab. <br />Instructions can also be provided to the lab on a separate <br />sheet to be included with the sample shipment. <br />• Sample Preparation and Shipment <br />- Immediately following sample collection, all samples should <br />be placed in a cooler with ice. Mithin 24 hours, <br />(preferably on the same day as they were collected) the <br />samples should be shipped via UPS or bus to the lab. <br />- Upon shipment, notify the lab by phone that you have <br />shipped the samples. Also, tell the lab how many samples <br />were shipped, how many packages (coolers), and any special <br />instructions or precautions which the lab should be aware <br />of. Also, be sure to request that the lab return your <br />coolers with new sample bottles for future sampling, and to <br />send extra sample bottles for special situations you <br />foresee. <br />i <br />23-195 <br />
