The site is believed to be associated with 1920's homestead <br />activities. Results of a title search at the Moffat County Clerk and Assessor's office <br />in Craig for the site location indicate that Emma Kneeland filed a homestead claim <br />enlarged Homestead Act) on 10-7-21. On 10-7-23 the claim was patented to "the heirs <br />of Claire Kneeland". On 10-2B-39, the land was purchased from the Kneeland's by Viola <br />K. Beaudoire.
