~. <br />NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />Project: Batch Weigh Loadout <br />Haul Road <br />Location: Foidel Creek Mine <br />Client: RAG <br />Work Pertormed: <br />Project No.: 02-5023 <br />Report No.: 4 <br />Date: 10/18/02 <br />Time: 2.0 <br />Mileage: 20 <br />EngrJTech: RE <br />As requested, we visited the project site on this date and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 10 through 13 on <br />the material being placed along the batch weigh loadout haul road. <br />Twentymile Coal crews had placed and compacted imported 1 '/," road base material for the base course grade <br />along the haul road. <br />In addition, we obtained a sample of the roadbase sands and gravels and delivered it to our laboratory for <br />modified Proctor and classification testing. This sample will be designated as Sample Number 3 for this project. <br />Remarks: <br />The materials tested generally met the project specifications for compaction. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for results of today's testing. It should be noted that the base course thickness <br />at each test site ranged from 5 to 6 inches in thickness. In addition, we did no observe any deflection or pumping <br />in the roadway surface. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Dave Wallace of RAG-Twentymile Coal Company was notified of today's test results. <br />
