3.0 RESULTS The reclaimed area that is the subject of this bond release application was revegetated prior to 1991 and its subsequent history has been documented in the approved reclamation plan and annual reports submitted to DMG. Therefore, this history is not presented again in this document. To facilitate an evaluation of revegetation success, comparison has been made with parameters from the approved reference area and / or standards as appropriate. Vegetation data collected utilizing accepted scientific means and statistical analyses from both the reclaimed area as well as that collected from the extended reference area during 2000 and 2001 have been organized, summarized, and presented on a variety of tables and charts in Appendix TC. Plates 1 - 18 (photographs of the reclaimed and reference areas in both 2000 and 2001) are presented in Appendix TC as well. 3.1 General Review of the summary data and comparisons presented on Table RS 1 indicates that the ApDlicant's reveaetation efforts for the North Thompson Creek Mines have passed all applicable comparisons in accordance with the aooroved permit Ruie 303 (Release of Pertormance Bonds) as well as those of the rp omulgated Vegetation Guidelines (April 18. 19951. Therefore. The North ThomDSOn Creek Mines meets all of the vegetation criteria for release of Phase ll bonds and Phase III bonds for the both wears (2000 & 2001) of the two-year evaluation. Chart RS below provides graphical evidence in support of this finding for both of the last two years of the responsibility period.
