I'~reviou<~ m.in.ing activity removed top~sn.il and <br />overburden from the s.i.te leaving vertical. ct.its within the pit <br />area. Scope of the operation is to r~ernove rz::i~;ting gravel, <br />retrarn t.o :':1 slopes, and re-establish vegetation. Topsoil and over~6urclr=n wil.i <br />be removed from the East side and replaced over the mined <br />area after the pit is mined out. This should require no morer than five acres. As the operation proceeds Sor_ith, more o•.~er-4rarden <br />and topsoil within the boundar•,• w:i.11 be avai..lahle to aid in <br />the rer.larnation process. <br />Thr_~ crushing area of S ar_res should he of moderate <br />disturbanr_e category because of its continr_rous use. Major <br />disti.rrbance is mostly contained within tYie e;;i~~tinq pit area <br />with the e:;ception of the East boundary, not .invol v.ing more <br />than apprn~;imat.ely 5 acres at g time. A tcnt.a'ti.ve schedule: <br />for the r_omplntion of the entire oper-at.ion .iss about 2s years. <br />Earth moving wi.l.l. i:~e accomplished by wheel loaders, crawler <br />tractor's, or' scrapers, as appropriate.
