Pursuant to the requirement of the Colorado Mined Reclamation Act*
to inform counties and c'e'rtain municipalities of Development and Extraction
(i.e. mining) Permit applications filed with this office, please know that
Federal Resources Corporation' has filed an
application for a Pe:^mit to do underground metals mining
at the following Zeg.iZ description: A11 9 quarters of Section 22, T43N,
R8W of the N. M. P. ,'N., Ou ray County, Colorado

The applicant proposes to reclaim the site for ti r Pa inn .~'he
deadline for persons to file statements regarding this operation, or to
petition for a hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board to consider
the granting of a Permit is set by law; for information please call this
office.
Prior to Board approval the applicant's proposed mining and reclamation
plans must be in conformance with Zoca1 zoning ordinances, subdivision
regulations, or master plan. Pursuant to Sections 34-32-109(6) and
34-32-IIS(e) of the eolorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-32-IOI
et sect., please inform the Mined Land Reclamation Division as to the status
of the above captioned site with regard to conformance with your local
zoning Laws. The attached sheet is provided so that you might answer us in
a convenient, quick manner.
If we do not hear from you before July 21, 1982 we wiZZ assume
that the above mining operation is in conformance with local zoning and land
use.
Also, the applicant is required to place a copy of the application for public
inspection with the <:Zerk of the county in which the proposed mine is situated.
It is the Board's understanding that the Act intends for the application to
be made available fo:: public review and comment in an area close to the mine;
it is not intended that it be made a part of public record by recording.
The Board is tentatively scheduled to consider this application on
Julu 21-22, 1982

questions.
