methods be used. Also, please include the cost for subsoil and topsoil
transportation from the Hall Pit to Area S.
United Companies will follow the BLM recommendations for reclamation practices
at the BLM Pit #1 site. The BLM recommends that seed distribution is done with a
seed drill where possible.
Costs for transport of subsoil and topsoil from stockpiles to Block 8 can be estimated
by using the Reclamation Timetable for volume estimates:
Subsoil required from Hall Pit stockpile =total subsoil volume to reclaim Block 8,
the processing area and the haul road to this end of the pernrit (9035 cy) -Block 9
subsoil placed at Block 8 (5969 cy) = 3066 cy.
Topsoil required from the Hall Pit stockpile to reclaim Block 8 (and the road and
processing area) is estimated by review of the Reclamation Timetable to be the total
amount required for reclamation of these areas, 9035 cy.
15. Exhibit S states that United will be providing a new fence to replace the one
owned by Ford Pit and United. For the file, please supply a notarized agreement
with the Ford Pit owners per the requirements of Rule 6.4.19(a) concerning the
fences.
A notarized agreement with Mr. Harold Ford concerning this fence is attached.
l6. At this time there is no information on timely public notices, County
Commissioners notification and filing with the County Clerk's office required in
Exhibits Q & R. Please supply the required notices as soon as possible.
The required documents were provided to the Division with each of the 5 copies of
the application package. I did not insert the verification documents at the proper
locations in the application, however. They were attached behind the signature page
near the front of the application. I am sorry for any confusion that my mistake has
caused. The only required verification document that was not attached to the
application when it was submitted was the Proof of Publication from the Grand
Junction Daily Sentinel for the required legal notice. The Proof of Publication is
attached to this letter.
Thank you for taking time to consider my responses to the questions posed in your
Preliminary Adequacy Review.
Sincerely,
~u4.~ x~,lo.~~
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
