Enclosed is a completed Regular 1 12 permit application for the proposed Tellier
Gravel Pit located approximately 6 miles west of Steamboat Springs, Routt County,
Colorado. This permit application and supporting documentation should contain
all of the information which you will need to render a decision on this permit.
As you will notice, this permit application contains information relative to status
of all other permits required by other governmental agencies. Not all of these
permit applications have been submitted and we are informing you of the status
of the various applications with these other agencies. It is our understanding that
you will be notified directly by these agencies.
The Routt County Board of Commissioners, unanimouslyapproved the request for
a Special Use Permit, despite the vigorous objections of certain neighbors and
their attorneys and they have said that they will object to this application to every
state agency involved. Therefore, with this permit application, we are formally
requesting clarification of your administrative procedures found on page 36 of
your Rules and Regulations, as to whether this application will be viewed as a
"complex application" and exactly when we might expect to receive a decision
regarding this matter.
