The proposed post-mining land use to Wildlife Habitat is well in
keeping with ad,iacent existing land use in the area.
2. The proposed Reclamation Plan (8/4/93) appears adequate to guide
steps for successful revegetation of the post-mined site.
3. In regard to control of noxious weeds, I suggest yearly
inspection of the revegetated site for several years (in late Spring)
to check for the possible presence of noxious weeds. Diffuse Knapweed
plants have been found along the Copper Gulch road, a few miles away.
The Fremont SCD will continue to work with Fremont County as requested
on monitoring of reclamation efforts and as time and manpower permits.
~./~ U~:
Roy Ro~r, So l~rvationist
for Fremont Soil Conservation District
CC: Fremont County Planning & Zoning Department
Bureau of Land Management, Canon City
Fremont SCD (file)
FI<_E CODE: 9R4IRNMT
