None of the Dorchester wining-operation is located on prime Farm Land
as shown on the 1980 map of Important Farmlands of Fremont County, published
by the USDA Soil Conservation Service and Colorado State Unly-Experiment Station.
2. Alluvial Valley Floor. Perhaps by some definitions the very small narrow
drainageway could be classed as an "alluvial valley floor".
However, the potential to grow agronomic crops on thle site Ss not significant.
Effective Soil material la ehallox and comple:. Water available far agricultural
uses is severely limited. No irrigation xater rights exist. The area is ao
small xith soil and xater resources so limited as to render any agronomic uses
not feasible.
I have also discussed these land use potentials xith Wayne Collette of the Fre-
mont County Extension Service. Mr. Collette concurs xith these assessments.
Sincerely,
~, ~~~
Aoy .Roper
District Conservationist
Canoe CSty, Colorado
RERfbc
cef Charles Salingo, Jr. -Florence, Cd
•
