Namely, spring spraying with Banvel or
Tordon. This will be applied with a tractor mounted spray rig in
the larger areas such as the previously reclaimed area west of the
subject pit. Also the open pastures on the rest of the ranch will
be sprayed again as necessary. This year approximately 250 acres
were sprayed in this manner. On smaller, less accessible areas such
as the topsoil stockpiles I intend to use a hand held spray nozzle
which is fed from the tractor mounted tank.
Any areas which are reclaimed will be monitored for noxious
weed growth and sprayed accordingly. Unfortunately, it is
impossible to kill the weeds before they start growing. We are also
replanting and fertilizing in an effort to provide competition for
the noxious caeeds. The entire ranch is used for the grazing of
cattle which also is a deterrent to noxious weed growth. If you
have any further questions please contact me at (719) 634-4155.
Sincerely,

Robert W. Dellacroce
iii iiiiiiiiniiiiii
999
RWD\Wp
