<br />Water Rights for Augmentation <br />The water losses will be accounted for in an approved Substitute Water Supply Plan (SWSP) <br />submitted to the State Engineers office. As a component or the Substitute Supply Plan, the <br />operator will provide the necessary water rights for all water losses during the operation. A copy <br />of the approved plan will be submitted to DMG when it is received. A court approved <br />augmentation plan will not be required for this site because it will be lined for water storage. <br />Surrounding Water Rights <br />Exhibit G-1 shows the permitted and/or adjudicated water rights within''/z mile ofthe Riverbend <br />Operation. Wells and water right tabulations obtained from the State Engineers Office were used <br />to locate the surrounding water rights and well permits located on Exhibit G-l. Although there <br />may be other wells in the azea, they aze not registered and permitted with The State Engineers <br />Office. These tabulations are included in Exhibit G-2. <br />As required by the State Engineers Office, waiver agreements will be acquired from well owners <br />within 600 feet of the pit. <br />If the dewatering of the Riverbend Operation creates an injury to the water rights of adjacent <br />wells, Lafazge will take all necessary actions to protect those water rights. ' / , <br />Water Quality /L`r,'.u_1 <br />An application for a NPDES Permit has been submitted to the Colorado Health Department for <br />the Riverbend Operation. This permit will be obtained before the mining operations discharge <br />groundwater into the South Platte River. <br />G-3 <br />
