04/17/2006 13:17 17194738907 n ARCTIC SLOPE WORLD PAGE 01/06
/Crue't` /, ~ /~/~E/2~~~fS
Kate,
Please find attached the reservation of the ttvneral rights marked on pages 2 and
3. These rights were granted by a. Patent deed recorded on April 18, 1874. I have
included Che appropriate page and mazked it. While Mr. Cargill reserved one-half the
rights, the information provided on page 3 shows that Mr. Buyer and Mr. Teter own the
remaining 50°/n.
I think the burden now lies with Ms, Wissel to prove that they have purchased. or had
conveyed to them the actual mineral rights. In our opinion, if they do not have the
mineral rights, the application should not be approved.
As to prove that the area encompassed by the land. in question contains substantial
minerals, the area directly North about one quarter mile, contained some of the most
profitable gold placer deposits in Colorado. This property, lying directly South contains
exactly the same glaciated gravel as the area to the North.
n„-
~n~ Gv, seg..
Reeved
APB; y 7 2GC6
~Dlvlsl~n °f~lnerals & ~ ofagy
