Dear Mr. Sappington:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has finished the review process for the above
referenced 110c application. It appears that the City of Rifle has met all the minimum requirements of
the Act and Rules for the issuance of a 110c permit. Therefore, staff is nleased to inform the City of
Rifle that the Materials Resource Area, M-2007-030 is approved.
By Rule, the City of Rifle does not have to post a Financial Warranty. However, a Performance
Warranty must be submitted and accepted by the Denver Office in order for the permit to be activated.
Please submit the Performance Warranty to Elizabeth Shelton at the Denver Office address noted above.
Please contact Elizabeth at 303.866.4084 with any questions regarding the Warranty. As a reminder, no
on site disturbance may begin until the Warranty has been accepted by the Division.
