100 1'CAR FLOOD PLAIN STUDY

There are s~o flood plains within the areas designated for construction. The
small drainage courses within the developed area are generally confined in natural
ditches.
Depti,, velocity and discharge calculations have been made for two sections
across Russell Gulch -see Sheets 8 & 9. Because of the steep grade and consequent
high velocity, the maximum depth for the 100 year frequency storm would be about
hNa feet. Small areas along the gulch might be covered, but no development is
proposed adjacent to the stream. The Russell Gulch Road would be designed (as
shown on the sections) so that it would not be flooded.
Since there are no real flood plains on the proposed plat and since only very
small areas along Russell Gulch are subject to shallow inundation, no flood plain
areas are delineated.
r-~,,,,. ~ /~
~~ ~.~_, r
