EXHIBIT B
Mining Plan
Mining methods will be left to the discretion of the Contractor.
The overburden will be removed to a depth of at Least 1.5' and stock-
piled in the plant and stockpile area.
The overburden stockpile will contain approximately 5000 yards and be
used as soon as mining is completed.
There will be no water diversion or impoundment and no significant
change in the drainage pattern.
When water is flowing in the unsealed irrigation ditches, it will seep
---~_
into the bottom of the pit, temporarily,! As soon as irrigation ceases water
• will disappear into the dry gravel bottom of the pit and leave the pit in a
dry state.
Mining will start in the west facing east slope of the "old pit area"
and be worked eastward until 30,000 to 47,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel
are excavated.
The affected area covers 9.93 acres which does not include the permanent
access road shown on the map.
The material to be mined is sand and gravel, The section is over 10'
thick and is underlain by Tertiary age felsite rocks.
No groundwater or surface water rights are involved in the operation,
Timetable of Operations:
The project will begin in late fall or early winter and terminate by
~A
late Spring 1981. ~'~
• ~ ' =~`
~r
r
IYL' l,^'[ - ~ r~
~~~ ~J ^
i` ~
t
