• Particle Size Distributions. The particle size distribution for this sediment pond was
based on sieve and hydrometer anal ysls of various soil types Sn the Seneca II-W permit
area. This distribution Ss representative of the watershed for Pond 006 and based on a
weighted average.
TABLE 13-4-10
Sedimentology Size Analysis
Weighted Average
Pond 006
Size (mm) watershed
12.7 100
11.2 97
2.0 91
1.0 87
0.5 84
0.25 82
0.106 79
0
045 56
.
0.02 40
0.01 31
0.005 24
0.002 17
0.001 14
0.0001 0
Slope Length. The slope length is described as the typical elope length for the
subwa tetshed and the distance from the point of origin of overland flow until the point
that the slope decreases such that significant deposition occurs or until the flow enters
a defined channel. The slope length for Pond 006 was determined to be 360 to 400 feet.
Average Slope. The average slope is the typical or representative slope (Sn percent) for
overland flow fer the watershed. This was determined to be 18 Co 20 percent.

5
