• Sedimentation Pond By Office <br />The area drained into this pond is the shop area <br />(12.7AC) and the topsoil stockpile "A" located <br />southwest of the shop area (7.9 AC). <br />Total Drainage = 20.6 AC <br />Volume 10 yr = (20.6)(0.86/12) = 1.48 AC.Ft <br />Sediment Volume <br />Land slopes: The shop area is predominately flat ( 2% slopes). <br />The topsoil pile has x 2:1 side slopes and a flat top. The same <br />erosion rate as found at the explosives storage is used 0.004 AC. Ft <br />AC. Ft <br />.'. For 3 years Us = (0.004)(3)(20.6) = 0.25 AC. Ft <br />. Total Req'd Volume = water + sediment <br />= 1.48 + 0.25 = 1.73 AC.Ft <br />Emergency Spillway <br />• Direct Runoff = 1.11" <br />for 4q slopes <br />Q 25 yr = (1.11)(25) = 27.8 cfs <br />1-24" d cmp is now in place which flows full = 10 cfs <br />an additional 18 cfs is needed. Use 2 additional 24" ~ cmp's to help <br />maintain maximum storage <br /> <br />
