CO 80203 <br />Re: Carder, Inc., Verhoeff Pit # 2, File No. M-92-113 <br />Dear Mr. Stevens: <br />i / <br />~,~ ~ .~~ <br />,~ . ~,-~1 <br />~~ ~~ <br />~~. 1 <br />This office has reviewed your correspondence of December 4, 1992 <br />concerning the above proposed project. <br />A search of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory has indicated that <br />there are no known sites located within the boundaries of this project. <br />However, the location of this mining operation is near a drainage which <br />makes it highly probable that prehistoric and historic sites may be <br />present. If there have been no previous land altering activities in the <br />project area, we recommend that a cultural resource survey be undertaken to <br />determine if eligible cultural resources will be impacted by mining <br />activities. This is done in accordance with the Colorado Register of <br />Historic Places Act (24-80.1). <br />If we may be of further assistance please contact Jim Green at 866-4674. <br />Sincerely, <br />James E.
