Revised 04/20/90
Section 780.11(a) Continued.
After the coal has been prepared for loading, it will be loaded onto
25 ton rear-dump Kenworth tractor-trailer highway haulers utilizing
either of the following loading units:
Caterpillar 988 Front-end Loader 8 yd. bucket
Caterpillar 245 Backhoe 2 1/2 yd. bucket
The coal haulage trucks will transport the coal along professionally
designed and maintained haul roads to Jackson County Road 12E and an
additional 10 miles on County Road 12E to the Kerr Tipple Area. The
fleet of coal haulage trucks utilized consists of eight 25 ton rear-
dump Kenworth tractor-trailer highway haulers.
The anticipated annual and total tonnage production of coal, listed
by the mining pit number, and in total, is shown in Table 53,
Anticipated Annual and Total Coal Production.
Coal from the Permit Area will be transported to the Kerr Tipple Area
where it will be stockpiled until crushed and loaded into railroad
cars for shipment. No cleaning of the coal is required, and
consequently, Kerr Coal will not produce any coal processing waste,
as further discussed under Sections 816.81-816.88. In addition,
because the proposed mine plan does not call for any significant
increase in present coal production, no new loadout facilities will
be constructed. Additional information on the mine facilities is
included in Sections 816.180, 816.181, 780.12, and on Map 28a, Kerr
Mine Area Existing Structures. Upon cessation of the operations all
support facilities and utility installations will be removed and the
t
sites graded and revegetated. The complete coal handling and
crushing flow diagrams for the Kerr Tipple are shown on Figure 12,
Kerr Tipple Layout and Figure 13, Kerr Tipple Crushing Facilities.
I
780-5 as
- - - --
