Walther
Executive Director
Michael B. Lang
Division Director
It is my understanding that United Companies has accepted the reclamation bonding estimate and
accordingly will be used by BLM to establish the bond required for this site. United will be required to
submit a bond to DMG in the amount of $100.00 and a bond for $30,577.00 to the BLM. Just for your
information, should the BLM lower the bond, United will be required to supply a replacement bond to
equal the accept amount of $30,577, unless an inspection is done by DMG staff and it concurs with
BLM's findings. This provision will be part of the application and permit for this site per Rule 4.2.1 (6)
of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations. Please submit documentation for the file that
meets the provision of the cited rule. At this time, DMG staff is awaiting a Technical Revision for the
adjoining Hall Pit to finish up the application process.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no.
970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
~ ~~~
G.
