The <br />floor joists run perpendicular to the structure's ridge line or across the width of the structure, and <br />perpendicular to the floor planking. <br />Summary of Testing Results <br />The test excavations at SLA7186 revealed historic and lithic component artifacts at relatively <br />shallow depths (<30 cmbs) over much of the tested portion of the site. Although two primary <br />periods of historic occupancy aze indicated in the surface artifact assemblage, these are not at present <br />discerned in the testing results, though this is likely a function of a lack of detailed artifact analysis <br />on the materials from the test excavations. Such an analysis is proposed as part of the treatment <br />plan, and is expected to reveal spatial segregation identifying features and activity areas that can be <br />associated with certain periods of time within the larger span of site occupation. It is also expected <br />that vertical or stratigraphic separation may also be present and revealed th certain areas, depending <br />on the nature of the activities of both the older and younger occupations, the potential for accelerated <br /> <br />
