Test Pit 8 (229N 178E)
Test Pit 8 was placed near the northwestern edge of the intact terrace, on the northwestern
edge of the site, and near where aboriginal ceramics and chipped stone tools had been found on the
surface. Probes in the immediate vicinity recovered mostly historic materials, but several nearby
probes were positive for lithic component artifacts.
