• 2.04.6 (c) OVERBURDEN SWELL FACTORS
A comparison of the 1994 to 1995 mapping information, as found in the respective Annual
Hydrology/Reclamation reports, still indicates a zero swell factor for the compacted ash
material used to fill "A" and "B" Pits. (The swell factor is computed by plotting pit cross-
sections on 100 foot intervals and determining the annual cut and fill difference.) This is
despite the change of coal supplier (Colowyo Coal Company to Bowie Resources Ltd.) to
the source of the ash (the power facility located in Golden, Colorado) early in 1995.
Coors has presently computed a material deficit in "A" and "B" Pits of approximately
1,463,400 bcy which it plans to make up through continued ash disposal. Should events
necessitate change to this plan, it will be communicated through the Revision process, to
include modification of the Post-Mining Reclamation Contour Map and the Final Grading
and Drainage Plan Map.
r~
LJ
C1
47 5/96
