The <br />site is dominated by Cascajo soils with gravel m the satfaca. Vagatauon is sparse dominated by: <br />Shrubs -Sage <br />- Yucca. <br />Cactus - Cholhs <br />.Prickly Pear <br />Glass -Sand Dtvp Seed <br />-Side Oats G3ama <br />- Blue Grams <br />• Etnnaal Grasses <br />weeds - Kochia <br />~. -Russian Thistle <br />Some past mining effort scars are preset throughout the Brock area. <br />This site Itas ptactacally no topsoil u rack is m the surface. If the rec]amatlon plea esOs for top <br />soil m be spread on disturbed ground it wall have m be hauled i~o the sate. A rxL3mation plan <br />should be preparod that h~elndes tap soil, revagatatioa, mulching, and weed coatroL <br />The site is on steep gravel breaks and water erosion wtll be an issue. Water cool will also be <br />an iaeue as the site discharges directly oho cropland Flooding from the site daring ram events <br />will cause damage m the cropland. <br />The Natural Resource Conservation 5mvaee through West Otero Timpas Conservation District <br />would bs willing to 6uggest remedial action on all these issues.
