(n A description of the following;
(i) Fina! Grading -Grading shall be carried on so as to create a final topography
appropriate to the final land use of rangeland as selected in the Reclamation Plan.
(ii) Seeding -Seeding will be done in accordance with the recommendation by the Soil
Conservation Service in the attached grass seeding plan. The types of seed to be planted
will consist of Blue Grama, Sideoats Grama, Little Bluestem, Sand Dropseed, and
Sweet Clover. Seeding will be done with a grass drill or broadcast. If seed is broadcast
the rate will be doubled the drill rate. Mulching and fertilizer will be applied if
necessary and will be determined prior to final seeding. Seeding will be done in the late
fall or eazly spring, however, there is equally good success in planting very late in the
winter should that be the time the seedbed is finally ready and climatic conditions aze
suitable. Cazder, Inc. is unaware of any noxious weeds in the area. However, we do
agree to control and prevent the spread of noxious weeds in the event they should appear
during the mining and reclamation operations.
(iii) Ferti/ization -Fertilizer will be applied if necessary. Type and application will be
determined at the time of final seeding.
(iv) Revegetation - No trees or shrubs will be planted.
(v) Topsoiling- In recognition of the general shortage of topsoil material especially on the
west one-half of the site, we anticipate that a topsoil layer of 2 to 4 inches will be the
maximum available. Never the less, we have reasonably good success
establishing grass on the thin layer of topsoil material typical to the area.
