Carder, Inc. <br />R®gular 772 Penmit Application <br />Ordway Pit <br />EXHIBIT D-MINING PLAN <br />(a) Method of Mining <br />The topsoil will be removed with scrapers/dozers and stored along the northern <br />border of the permit area. Mining of the aggregate deposit will be done by front- <br />end loaders. Material will be processed and removed from the site by haul trucks. <br />Access to the pit will be via County Road B as part of the condition for approval for <br />a Special Use Permit with Crowley County. <br />(b) Earthmoveng <br />Earthmoving is proposed to be done primarily with front-end loaders and/or <br />scrapers and dozers. <br />(c) Water Diversions and Impoundments <br />This site will be strictly a dry pit operation with no water diversion and/or <br />impoundments. Carder, Inc. will use berms and silt fences to contain normal <br />overland flows from the disturbed areas to prevent off-site damage and minimize <br />damage to the hydrologic balances with respect to normal surface water run-off <br />resulting from precipitation events. <br />(d) Size of Area to be Worked <br />This size of area to be worked atone time is approximately 20 acres. <br />(e) Approximate Timetable to Describe Mining Operation <br />Mining has commenced under the existing 111 Permit # M 2005-020. Mining will be <br />ongoing until material in the area has been depleted. <br />(~ Nature, Depth, and Thickness of Deposit and Thickness and Type of Overburden <br />
