<br />Structures and practices will appropriately match the site conditions. Specifications and <br />installation will be based on environmental conditions under which they are expected to <br />perform. <br />• Consideration of the range of climatic site conditions that occur throughout the year will be <br />made. Specifications and installation will be based on climatic conditions under which they <br />are expected to perform. <br />The practice of routinely prescribing controls for erosion and sedimentation problems will be <br />avoided. Each situation will be treated creatively to minimize the cost of construction and <br />treatment, while striving to maximize their effectiveness. <br />3.3.2 BMP Specifications <br />The Plan groups BMPs into general categories based on their respective erosion and sediment <br />control applications. The fundamental groups are Concentrated Flow Structures (Appendix B), <br />Surface Treatments and Slope Protection (Appendix C), Water Treatment (Appendix D), and <br />Biotechnical Stabilization Measures (Appendix E). While some practices and structures may be <br />limited to individual categories, others represent useful applications for multiple categories. <br />The prevalent and common uses and situations in which the various BMPs will be used are <br />detailed in Section 4.0. <br />American Soda.
