iii iiiiiiiiiiiuiii
INTERNAL MEMO
7/20/98
SUBJ: Inspection of Exploration Sites
On Monday, 13 July 1998, 1 inspected recently-drilled exploration sites for Cottonwood Land Company.
These drilling wa Big Elk Project of Cottonwood Land and Juniper Coal Company, NOIs
X-96-219-00 an X-96-219-O1.
The sites visited were mostly part of the most recent phase of exploration which had been done in June
and early July of 1998.
Sites visited were Fed 60 and Fed 61, PDH 33 and PDH 32, Fed 55, Fed 68, Fed 7 and Fed 57. Drilling
had been completed on these sites, topsoil had all been replaced on the pads, and the pads regraded.
Topsoil was left rough on the surface to help prevent erosion of the topsoil. Most of the sites had not been
reseeded yet.
The roads were all in very good shape, with minimal new disturbance.
We visited a well cluster at Fed 7 (in section 14, Temple Gulch). The installation was very professional
and should create no problems.
All the sites were neat and effectively reclaimed to the point of seeding.
~~~
