' Exhibit G - Water Information
' The operation is expected to have minimal impact on both surface and
groundwater systems beyond what historically exists at the site. The Exhibit B map
' is derived from a 1968 U.S.G.S. topographic map. The map shows the
relative extent of the pit at that time and indicates that the pit contains
t i
Feb
r
1987 the
Wh
h
fi
ld
k
d
t
d d
was con
uc
ur
ng
rua
y,
en t
e
e
wor
e
water.
' ' elevation of the water in the pit was estimated to be about seven feet
below the surface. Since the pit has an irregular bottom, only the deepest
' part of the pit workings (those portions of the pit approximately seven to
eight feet deep) contained water and the depth of the water ranged from a
f
few inches to about one or two
oot.
' The elevation of the water table fluctuates seasonally. According to
the landowner, the elevation of the water generally reaches is lowest point
during the months of February, March, April and May, and to its maximum
rise -- to approximately fourt feet below the ground surface -- during the
t summer months. The maximum rise in the elevation of the groundwater
' appears to follow spring runoff and the irrigation of surrounding pasture
lands.
' It is planned that the pit will be mined primarily during the months
of March and April when the water table is at its lowest point, and that
the pit will be wet mined. Depending on the maximum depth to be ultimately
' mined (anticipated to be about 12t feet) the depth of water in the final
pond is expected to be relatively shallow and have a threes feet seasonal

i~
