EXHIBIT D-1 - WILDLIFE INFORMATION <br />St. Jude Mine - Pioneer Uravan, Inc. <br />January 20, 1978 <br /> <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is pro vi dad for use by <br />the Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining Kermit <br />for Pioneer Uravan, Inc. <br />Carnation Mine, Gvo V~]iey <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the hest of our <br />knowledge, that the impact of the proposed mining ^peration cn wildlife <br />will 6e <br />minor <br />X moderate <br />major <br />h7ina Location: T. 44 N., R. 18 W., SW', Sec. 13 and SEa Sec. 14 <br />Wildlife Species List: (may 6e attached) The major wildlife species which <br />will be impacted by the operation are deer, elk and antelope. Deer and elk use <br />the area primarily as winter-range. Many other wildlife species also inhabit the <br />area. <br />Endangered Species Impacted: None that are known. <br />Assessment of Impact on Wildlife: (may 6e attached) The numerous exploration <br />roads and human activity associated with these roads will have an adverse impact <br />on wildlife.
