The sample
was given our identification fAb x'97-6456-280-01.
A large portion of the sample was filtered thrcugh a 0.45 micron ~nein~rane
filter. The filtrate was analyzed fur aluminulll, barium, beryllium, calciun,
admium, chromium, cooper, iron, lead, magnesium, monganese, molybdenum,
~ckel, silver, sodium, thallium, and zinc by flame atomic absorption;
sonic and seleniwn by hydride generation; mercury by cold vapor flameless
atomic absorption; uranium was determined fluorometrically.
Boron was determined colorimetrically by cur•cumin reagent. Ammonia nitrogen
and iota] phosphorous ~yere determined by the procedures of EPA Storet =005:u
and ~OOG65, respectively. Chloride, fluoride, and pH were determi•~ed by specific
ion electrode methods. The remaining parameters erer•e determined by the procedures
of Standard Methods, 14t1i edition.
A portion of the filtered sample was extracted with chloroform and then
with toluene, at neutral pll, following the guidelines of ASTht D217~1-70 to
obtain an indication of leached organic compounds. .The determination teas
done by gas chromatography. .
The results of these analyses are presented in Table llo. 1 - Metallic
Constituents, Table No. 2 - Non-Metallic Constituents, and Table No. 3 -
Organic Constituents.
Table 1Jo. 1 - Metallic Constituents
Concentration in mg/1
Parameter Water Sample
A]uminum 4.28
.
