To assess the ambient water quality upsveam of Arequa Gulch, data were gathered from CC&V Station 0002,
located on Cripple Creek approximately 0.66 miles upsveam of the confluence with Arequa Gulch (see Figure 3 of
the Pemvt). Data were available for approximately Syears, from 1/27/1997 through 10/8/2001. Statistics for this
data aze presented in Table A-4.

The ambient water quality was also assessed for Arequa Gulch at two locations (see Figure 3 of the Permit):
AG1.5 (located neaz the source of Arequa Gulch) and AG2.0. AG2.0 is approximately 4090 feet downsveatn of
AG1.5 and approximately 700 feet upsveam of the confluence with Cripple Creek. Ambient water quality data for
Arequa Gulch is presented in the following two tables.
