Way Co. for <br />a conditional use for the establishment of an extractive <br />industry (sand and gravel) to be located on a fraction of <br />Section 31, Township 28 South, Range 73 West, Sixth <br />Principal Meridian pursuant to Section 23(a) of the Zoning <br />Regulations of Alamosa County, 1975, as amended. <br />Commissioner / -rt< e,. moveyd, for the adoption of the <br />following resolution. Commissioner//~~ ~~t seconded the <br />motion. <br />Wf3EREAS, an application for a conditional use review <br />requesting allowance of the establishment of an extractive <br />industry (sand and gravel) has been received together with <br />certain attachments and exhibits as required by Article 3 of the <br />Alamosa County Zoning Regulations, 1975, as amended, the business <br />to be located upon the following property: <br />A parcel of land being a part of Section 31, Township <br />28 South, Range 73 West, 6th Principal Meridian, Alamosa <br />County, State of Colorado. <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 6, Township 36 <br />North, Range 13E, NMPM, a 1972 BLM brass cap; thence S <br />O1°51'W along the.west line of said Section 31 a distance <br />of 1320.00 feet; thence S 88°09'E a distance of 1320.00 <br />feet; thence N O1°51' E a distance of 1320.00 feet; thence <br />N S6°09';•; a 9i~tance cf 1320.00 feet to the point of <br />beginning, containing 1,742,400 square feet or 40 acres, <br />more or less. <br />said property being zoned Rural (RU) District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Alamosa County <br />Planning Commission on January 18, 1984, upon proper notice, and <br />thereafter the Planning Commission recommended acceptance of the <br />conditional use herein to the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Alamosa County, upon certain conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Board of <br />County Commissioners on February 23, 1984, at which time the <br />applicant appeared; and <br />WHEREAS, testimony in support of the conditional use was <br />presented, and; <br />WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County commissioners has considered. <br />the application, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, <br />and finc9s the application Greets all teyuire:aerts „~t^n Alamosa <br />County Zoning Regulations pertaining thereto and that the <br />establishment of an extractive industry (sand and gravel) at' this <br />location is permitted as a conditional use for such property by <br />Section 23(a) of the Zoning Regulations of Alamosa County, 1975, <br />as amended; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed use is Consistent with the ob}ectives <br />and purposes of the Alamosa County Zoning Regulations and is also <br />compatible with surrounding land use; and <br />IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the conditional <br /> <br />
