<br />C~ <br />RESOLUTION - MILLER-BERENDS GRAVEL PIT 85-136 <br />At a regular meeting held by [he Board of County Commissioners of <br />Elbert County, State of Colorado, on the 27th day of September, <br />1985 the following resolution was adopted. <br />WHEREAS, there was a request for a special use review for a gravel <br />pit by Robert Miller and Les Berends located SW%, SEti: 527-T9S-R64W, <br />22,4 Acres. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, after reviewing all documents presented by <br />the Land Use Department and hearing all testimony, the Board of <br />County Commissioners do hereby approve the Miller-Berends gravel <br />pit with the following stipulations: <br />1. All topsoil be stockpiled for reclamation. When the <br />site is reclaimed, the topsoil will be restored to 6"-12" <br />and reseeded per SCS recommendations. <br />2. Warning sign to be posted at location recommended by <br />the county road and bridge department on county road 25-41 <br />stating "Trucks turning onto highway". <br />3. Applicant to pay reasonable portion of the cost of <br />maintaining the county road at the intersection of the <br />access road. <br />4. Posting a sign at the gravel pit exit advising of <br />bridge limitations. <br />5. If dust pollution should become a problem, appropiate <br />dust management equipment will be added. <br />6. Major access roads will be county road 106 and county <br />road 17-21 which do not have restricted bridges. <br />7. It is recommended that the gravel trucks not use county <br />road 102 due to it being narrow and dangerous for trucks. <br />8. Build by-passes around restricted bridges. <br />Upon a motion duly made by Commissioner Gresham and duly seconded <br />by Commissioner Hart, the above and foregoing resolution was <br />unanimously adopted this 27th day of September, 1985. <br />CHAIRMAN OF THE <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />
