SUMMARY OF FACILITY-WU3E EMISSIONS OF HAZARDOUS AlR POLLUTANTS
Explanation: The following tables provide a summary ofestimated emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAP) from generators, material
handling, storage piles, roads, and mine ventilation. Uncontrolled emissions are calculated based on the assumption that all
planned controls are not performed. Controlled emissions are calculated with control factors for planned controls such az
revegetation of topsoil stockpiles and road treatment. Calculations for the each of the sources can be found on Tables 2 through
7. Other anticipated contaminants me included.
TABLE I&t
UNCONTROLLED FACILITY-WIDE ANNUAL EMISSIONS OF HAZARDOUS A[R POLLUTANTS

EMISSIONS
Generators

Ib/ r Material
Handling
Source
b r Storage Pile
Fugitive Sources

1 r Road Fugitive
Sources

I r Vmtilafiom
Emissions

Ib r
Tobl

Ib r De Minimua
Levels

I r Exempt
Sourcnr

Ib r
Hazardous Air Pollulanb'
Acebldeh de 6.16 6.16 50
Acrmlein 0.74 0.74 SO
Brnzene 7.49 7.d9 SO 019
13-Butadiene 0.31 0.31 SO
Eth (benzene 0.00 1000 0.02
Fotmaldeh de 9.47 9.47 50
Hexane 0.00 1000 041
Na Nalrne 0.66 0.68 500
Toluene 3.28
--
--
-- 3.28 1000 0 15
X lenes 2.29 2.29 1000 0.01
B Ilium 0.001 0.000 0.102 0.005 O.II SO
Civomium 0.008 0.007 3.452 0.058 3.32 SO
Cobalt 0.01$ 0.004 0.597 0.11$ 0.73 50
Lead 0.361 0.004 0.247 1.806 2.42 SO
Nickel 0011 0.003 0.895 0.070 0.98 50
Thorium 0.008 0.002 0.315 0.061 0.39
Uranium 1.409 O.OII 0.119 7.022 8.56 50
Vanadium 3.985 0.065 4.559 20.241 28.85
Total HAPS J0.0.3 3.80 0.10 10.29 19.01 76.02 0.79
Other Conbmimanb'
Arena hthene 0011 0.01
Arena hth lene 0.041 0.00
Anthmcene 0.015 0.02
Benz a thmcene 0013 0.01
Benz a me 0.002 0.00
Benz b fluomn[hrne 0.002 0.00
enz lene 0.004 0,00
C sere 0.003 0.00
Dibenz a h anihracene 0.005 0.00
FluomnNrne 0.061 0.06
Fluorene 0.234 0.23
Inden 1 2,3-cA ene 0.003
-
--
-- 0.00
Phrnanthrrne 0.236
-
--
-- 0.24
--
-
Pro Ime 20.712 20.71
rene 0.038 0.04
Total PAHs 2138 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.00 21.38 0.00
'-'Emissions ofcompound are either not presrnt m were nm repotted N the litemmre reviewed.
I De Minimus levels taken from "Reporting Your Air Emissions and Applying For Air Permits Step-By-Step For Colorado Small Businesses" (CDPHE).
2 Includes two above ground storage bnks conbining p2 fuel oil and having capacides ofup m 5,000 gallons each.
3 As defined by the 1990 amendments ofthe Clean Air Aa.
4 Includes all conbminants andcipated to be present in the Whirlwind Mine emissions and nest listed in dre 1990 amendments of the Clean Air Act.
