A. Sage Reservoir and Bales Di[ch as described under chattge of water righ~s above.
B. Wadge Pit Reservoir has historically been used for providing an industrial,
domestic, and wildlife watering water supply to Applican['s Seneca II Mine,
located in Townships 5 and 6 North, Range 87 West, approximately four miles
northeast of [he Yoast Mine. Pursuant [o [his plan, Wadge Pi[ Reservoir will
also be used for augmentation purposes.
C. S[a¢ecoach Reservoir is opera[ed by the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy
District (UYW'CD). Applicant has contracted for a period of 30 years with
UYWCD for use of 100 acre fee[ of water per year out of S[agecoach Reservoir
for use in this plan for augmentation and the plan for augmentation decreed for
the Seneca II-W Mine in Case No. 89 CW 63, and shall maintain that contract.
~14. Sta[ement of Plan for Augmentation:
.4. Description of Proiect.
Applicant is developing the Yoast Mine. an open pit coal mine located in
Sections 8, l6. 17, 18, 19, 30. '_'9 and 30, Township 5 North, Range 87 West.
6th P.M., approximately seven miles southeas[ of Hayden, Colorado. The mine
will be opened in 1996, and is projected to operaze for 15 years. Reclamation
of the mined area will occur during mining. Water is required for domestic and
industrial putposes a[ the mine and industrial purposes on the mine haul road
located in Sections 28, 29 and 32. Township 6 Notch. Range 87 West and
Section 5. Township 5 Nonh, Range 87 West. 6th P.M. Water supply will be
developed from groundwater and surface water sources.
B. Water requirements.
Domestic use. consisting of drinking, washing and sanitation purposes, will
require 1.0 acre feet of water per year and will be supplied by Seneca Yoast
Mine Shop We!I. Industrial use. consisting of dust suppression, evaporation
from Seneca Yoast Mine Ponds 010 and 012, and miscellaneous purposes, will
require 51.0 acre fee[ of water per year, and will be supplied by Seneca Yoast
