Box 667 Craig, Colo. 81626 <br />RFCEiVE~• <br />AUG 2 1993 <br />Divisic,~ ui ~~,~~,t,a„ , ue~•,~u~ <br />RE: Request for Public Records Pertaining to Permit <br />#M-93-023 Cross Mountain Pit No. 1 <br />Dear Michael: <br />Under the provisions of the Colorado Open Records Law <br />(CRS 24-72-201), I am requesting copies of specific information <br />related to the above referenced reclamation permit and the <br />attached "Rider" that obstructs mining related disturbance <br />until a cultural resource survey is made, and, until the <br />Colorado Historical Society has mitigated or cleared the site. <br />The items requested are: <br />1. A copy of all correspondence between the Division of <br />Minerals and the "Society" related to Permit #M-93-023, <br />~~~ <br />2. A copy of every memorandum of understanding, memorandum of <br />agreement, and any other policy correspondence between the <br />Division of Minerals and the Society, related to the obstruction <br />of reclamation permits based on cultural resource surveys, and <br />their mitigation, and clearance, by the "Society" <br />3. A copy of every memorandum of law that would support <br />the Division's policy of obstructing reclamation permits <br />based on the lack of cultural resource survey, clearance or <br />mitigation by the "Society". <br />If any of these requests are denied, then I am <br />requesting a written statement of the grounds for such denial <br />and a citation of the law or regulation that forms the basis <br />of that denial. <br />Respe u 1 submi ed, with the best of personal regards. <br />BY. ~i <br />Marv Oore <br />
