Southwest Ready Mix, Inc, has requested and received an amendment to the
original Special Use Permit No. 570, which was approved on December 10, 1985.
The amended application, approved on January 28, 1986, includes the following
(see Exhibit 1):
1. The proposed concrete batch plants proposed site will be moved
from Section 35 to Section 33, Township 20 South, Range 63 West.
2. The potential extraction area will remain about 75 acres in size;
however, 10+ acres on the North is being deleted, while 10+ acres
on the East is being added. The potential extraction area is
limited to a portion of Section 2, Township 21 South, Range 63 West,
lying North of the Arkansas River.
3. The access to the batch plant will now be via "38th Lane", and
access to the extraction area will be from the plant southeasterly
across Sections 33, 39 and 35, Township 20 South, Range 63 West,
and Section 2, Township 21 South, Range 63 West. The north-south
portion of the old access route between 34 and 35 will be deleted.
