Issues regarding the effect of mining activities on groundwater levels are <br />addressed by the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, rather than the Water Quality Consol Division. The Division has <br />contacted the Division of Minerals and Geology so that they may appropriately address the citizen's concerns. Based on a field <br />inspection conducted by the Water Quality Consol Division staff; there were no operatiorsal issuer that would prevent renewal of <br />this genera! CDPS discharge permit /t is the Divisions determination shat no changes to the general permit are needed to address <br />this situation, and therefore, no changes were made to the permit. <br />August 28 2002 <br />
